Royal Weddings – Present & Past || The Impact of Video & History Preservation

Today as we witnessed history in the making, still with goosebumps & completely smitten, the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton will forever impact our generation. Though I was only about 4 years old when Lady Diana and Prince Charles were married, I still remember watching their wedding as a little girl. Today we were able to relive many of those moments as part of the broadcast coverage, as it has been 30 years since the last very regal affair took place, but also because it was the parents of Prince William. It is so wonderful to be able to continuously relive these moments through video coverage – as well as for future generations to be able to see the royal weddings as it happened. This is why video to me is so important and truly a must for weddings –  what I would have given to be able to see when my grandparents or great-grandparents were married.  Here are wedding highlights from Prince William & Catherine Middleton’s wedding, his parents wedding of Lady Diana Spencer to Prince Charles, and his great-grandparents wedding, The Duke of York to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
