Beverly Hills Hotel Wedding || Kim & Ken || Photography by Todd Johnson

We still remember the 1st day meeting Kim & Ken at our office. Kim walked in and said her wedding colors are grey, purple, and loves vanda orchids. Well, our office & company colors happen to be grey & purple, and we have vanda orchid plants in 4 corners of the room. It was a match instantly – even signed on right then & there!

Kim & Ken’s beautiful wedding took place at the classically elegant Beverly Hills Hotel for 400 guests, including many guests traveling from Indonesia, and from other parts of the country.

The wedding was designed around Kim & Ken’s names, because their names all start with “K”, and 3 letters (plus all of Ken’s brothers & father have names that start with “K”). Posh Paperie designed the KimKen logo for us, which was used throughout the invitation suite, all printed materials, as well as custom printed on the light grey oval dancefloor that Lewis from Barker Decor made for us!

We incorporated Kim’s Chinese heritage with a Chinese Tea Ceremony, and paid homage to Ken’s Indonesian heritage with the Balinese ceremony decor – Orchids & Balinese Asian decor, perfectly executed by Nisie’s Enchanted Florist. The ballroom was infused with gorgeous purple lighting, and highlighting the iconic chandelier of the Beverly Hills Hotel Crystal Ballroom. Custom runners made for us by Wildflower Linen incorporating the greys, silvers, and purples of the wedding colors, along with our favorite Homestead Grey table linen.

One of the best highlights of the evening was the newest band JB Project from West Coast Music. As guests entered the room, they entertained guests with a perfect cover of Coldplay’s “Paradise”. Throughout the evening, the guests were in awe of this amazing band! Then, as a surprise, in the foyer, we had Taiwanese Shaved Snow setup for guests to enjoy, provided by SnoBar. To top off the evening, guests were treated to Kim & Ken’s same day edit, produced by Elysium Productions.
