Shanel & David || with a Scrabble Wedding Cake inspired by the Proposal

Shanel & David were married at the Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook, California over the July 4th weekend. It was a fun mini-destination wedding weekend for all of their family & friends, including a day of wine tasting and watching the fireworks.

Their color palette were of earthy colors – celadon green, creams and brown. As David had proposed to Shanel on the Scrabble board, we incorporated a Scrabble Wedding Cake (as inspired by a cake by Pink Cake Box). Our cake was made by Beryl Boyd of Just Fabulous Pastries. Shanel surprised David with a Groom’s Cake, that was the University of Michigan logo because it was David’s alma mater, and he was also quite the track star!

Shanel & David performed a special Cha Cha number to entertain the guests! They had such a “rockin” reception. A very fun wedding with a very fun wedding couple!

Shanel & David’s wedding was featured in The Knot and on The Bride’s Cafe. (click for both features).
